The coffee chain opened a new drive-through in Mossley Common, Wigan, Lancashire where cash is king. It only takes cards.
At Hull Station, East Yorkshire, its Starbucks charges more than £4 for a cappuccino, a tipping point for customers. Even first-class travellers head for Greggs, the Newcastle-based bakery chain.
Meanwhile in the US, at the new Starbucks close to the Twin Towers Memorial in New York they have no toilets. They have lost touch.
